A Night of Unity, Solidarity and Study in Memory of the Fogel Family

Dear All:

Many of you have heard about the savage murder of a family of 5, including 2 young parents, and 3 children ranging in age from 11 years to 3 months, approximately three weeks ago on a Friday night in Israel. As those of you that heard about it know, the savage terrorist attack, which included the decapitation of a 3 month old and the savage slaugher of 2 of her siblings and her parents was discovered when the family's 12 year old daughter came home from a friend's house to find her parents and siblings brutally murdered.

Many of you, unfortunately, are also aware of what happened afterwards in Gaza - specifically, how the Palestinian community "celebrated" the brutal/savage attack by sharing candies in celebration of the "happy event." Unfortunately, while many media outlets reported about the terrible events, for a whole host of reasons, some of which remain troublesome, the broader media did not report these events in a manner that it is completely in the public eye.,

This Monday night, on the Upper West Side, each of us will have an opportunity to demonstrate how we, as Orthodox Jews, respond to such a horrific, terrible tragedy. Please join us at Congregation Ohab Zedek for an Upper West Side night of Torah Study in memory of the victims and for a brief presentation by each of the Mayor of the community in which the Fogel family resided and the Mayor's wife.

If you are not a member of the Jewish community, please feel free to join us, to see how we deal with these tragedies, and to hear the words of the Mayor of the City of Itamar and his wife.

The flyer for the event follows. Everybody is welcome. Please feel free to share this flyer with your friends.
